IS Nat Parry 2017Under the overall supervision of the Chief of the Executive Office, the Head of Communications and Press manages the International Secretariat’s communications and media relations and works to raise the profile of Assembly activities. In addition, Nat Parry:

  • Provides support to the Assembly and International Secretariat leadership to effectively communicate messages, including drafting press releases and speeches for senior Assembly officials;
  • Prepares the International Secretariat’s News from Copenhagen bulletin and other publications, maintains the website and runs the social media accounts;
  • Provides support to the three General Committees, among other responsibilities.

Parry (United States) joined the International Secretariat in February 2008. Prior to joining the Secretariat, Parry held policy-related positions at American NGOs such as U.S. Public Interest Research Group and Public Citizen’s Congress Watch, and has worked as Communications Specialist at the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, Associate Editor at the Consortium for Independent Journalism, and as a freelance writer for a variety of publications.

Parry holds a master’s degree in political science and a bachelor’s degree in history from George Mason University. Working languages: English and Danish.
