IS 2017 Sergey Marinin smallSergey joined the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s office in Copenhagen in August 2017.

Sergey holds a master’s degree from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. He was a Visiting Researcher at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and has worked with several OSCE/ODIHR election observation missions.

Prior to joining the PA, he worked as an OSCE Consultant on strengthening the capacities of the National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) at the Office of the Kazakhstan’s Human Rights Commissioner.

His research interests include problems of democratization in the post-Soviet space as well as issues of religion and religious freedom in Central Asia.

Sergey speaks Russian, English, Kazakh and has some proficiency in German.
