OSCE PA 2018 Logo RGBThe OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will meet in Berlin for its 27th Annual Session on 7-11 July 2018. The meeting is expected to include the participation of some 300 parliamentarians from North America, Europe and Asia. The theme of this year’s Annual Session is “Implementing OSCE Commitments: The Role of Parliaments.” All meetings will be held at the Reichstag Building (seat of the German Bundestag).

The largest event on the Assembly’s calendar, the Annual Session consists of several days of meetings featuring high-level speeches and debates, and will culminate in the adoption of the Berlin Declaration. This political document will contain recommendations to national governments, parliaments and the international community in the fields of political affairs, security, economics, environment and human rights.

Representing the collective voice of the OSCE parliamentarians representing a billion people from Vancouver to Vladivostok, the Declaration helps shape OSCE and national policy. It will be complemented by a number of supplementary items related to OSCE commitments and values. (Please see below for draft resolutions and supplementary items, which are being posted as they become available.)

The Annual Session will also include elections of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly leaders, including committee officers, Vice-Presidents and President.

Details about the Annual Session can be found to the right and additional practical information is available at the website of the Bundestag of Germany
