Mr. Dan Barna is a member of the Romanian Parliament serving as Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies, the lower House in the Parliament of Romania. He is also a member in the Foreign Policy Committee.

In June 2023, Mr. Dan Barna was elected Vice-President of the ALDE Party.

Between January and September 2021, Mr. Barna held the position of Deputy Prime-Minister of Romania, in the Romanian Government.

In 2016, he was secretary of state in the Ministry of European Funds, and his experience in the technocratic Government convinced him that Romania needs competent and honest people to get involved in politics.

Mr. Barna has been a member of Parliament since 2016 and has also served as Vice-President of the Foreign Affairs Committee. In 2020, he was elected deputy of Sibiu for the second term.

Graduated in law in 1998, Mr. Barna has a master's degree in Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and he is a graduate of the International Development Law Organization's training program in Rome.
