Daniela De Ridder (Germany)

Dr Daniela De RidderDaniela De Ridder (Germany) was elected Vice-President of the Assembly at the OSCE PA  Remote Session in July 2021.

Dr. De Ridder has been a Member of the German Bundestag for the constituency of Mittelems (Constituency 31 – Grafschaft Bentheim / southern and central Emsland) since 2013.

She is a member of the OSCE PA's Ad Hoc Committee on Migration and in the Bundestag serves as Deputy Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Deputy chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Civilian Crisis Prevention, Conflict Management and Integrated Action. She is primary rapporteur for Benelux, international research and education policy, civilian crisis prevention, foreign economic policy and arms export policy and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Dr. De Ridder is also secondary rapporteur for the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Maghreb countries, the Middle East, transatlantic relations (US, Canada), West and Central Africa, France, Switzerland, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as for international resource, environmental and climate policy.

She previously was a Member of the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment (2013-2018). 

Daniela De Ridder was appointed Special Representative on Eastern Europe in December 2020.
