
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of the Executive Office, the Head of Administration for Election Observation manages the International Secretariat’s support to parliamentarians in the field of election observation. In addition, Iryna Sabashuk:
- Provides support to MPs appointed to leadership roles within the field of election observation;
- Supports the South Caucasus and Ukraine outreach programmes, as well as the Sub-Committee on Rules of Procedures and Working Practices and Documents Services;
- Manages the Research Fellowship Programme, among other responsibilities.
Sabashuk joined the team of permanent staff of the International Secretariat in May 2011, after undertaking a Research Fellowship with the PA in Copenhagen. Sabashuk has previous work experience in the private sector in the fields of marketing and commerce.
Sabashuk holds two master degrees in international law and English and German philology, as well as bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
