Tim Knoblau, Programme and Administrative Officer

Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Secretary General, the Programme and Administrative Officer performs tasks in the Vienna Office related, in particular, to election observation and special dialogue fora and serves as a Personal Assistant to the Special Representative.

In addition, Tim Knoblau:

  • Serves as Deputy Head of the Vienna Office;
  • Manages the Vienna Office’s administration, including budgetary and administrative matters, reporting directly to the Copenhagen-based Deputy Secretary General;
  • Supports the work of Documents Services and Research Assistants Programme;
  • Serves as Programme Co-ordinator for South Caucasus
  • Prepares political analyses for the Special Representative, arranges and advises on meetings between the Special Representative and high-ranking officials of OSCE participating States, prepares reports on meetings;
  • Represents the Vienna Office on all administrative matters with respect to Austrian authorities and private companies.

Knoblau joined the International Secretariat in 2017, having previously been a Research Assistant. He holds degrees in Security Studies and European Studies from the University of St Andrews and Maastricht University.

Prior to joining the PA, he also gained experience through working with the European Parliament, NGOs and within the private sector.
