PASSPORT AND VISAS

Travelers must have a valid passport to enter the Principality of Andorra.

No visa is necessary to access the Principality of Andorra, but all non-EU citizens must check if they need to apply for a Schengen visa according to their nationality. Indeed, Andorra is located in the heart of the Schengen area without being itself a member of the aforementioned area.

In this regard, depending on which route you take into Andorra (via France or via Spain), we advise you to consult the French or Spanish consulate nearest to your place of residence and ask whether you need a Schengen visa or not.

If you require it, we recommend obtaining a multiple-entry visa.

Anyone traveling with a personal escort who bring weapons in the Principality of Andorra must notify the Andorran police.

INSURANCE

Each participant is responsible for their own personal and medical insurance. The Andorran Parliament cannot be held liable for any loss of luggage, money, or personal belongings, or for any medical expenses.

MEDICAL SERVICES

Medical assistance will be available throughout the session. However, any health issues requiring medical treatment or hospitalization remain the sole responsibility of each participant. Participants currently undergoing medical treatment must bring enough medication to cover their needs.

Please note that, in the event of a medical emergency outside the Congress Centre or other hotels outside of business hours, the 116-emergency hotline is available to participants.

CLIMATE AND TIME ZONE

Andorra la Vella is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters. Andorra has a Mediterranean mountain climate admittedly a bit cool but pleasant, with many sunny days (300 days a year). The weather in Andorra in early October is often changeable, with sunny spells alternating with rainy days. Temperatures range from 4 degrees Celsius at night to 24 degrees during the day.

Andorra observes daylight saving time from March through the end of October: (Central European Time, CET) + 1 hour.

Andorra uses the Euro (€).

Major credit cards are accepted everywhere. ATMs in town allow you to withdraw cash at any time.

Banks are open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 13:00. You can exchange currency at currency exchange offices at the Barcelona and Toulouse airports.

ELECTRICITY

As in most European countries, the electrical current is 230 V / 50 Hz. Electrical outlets are of the European type, with two prongs. A transformer and a power adapter (to convert a three-prong plug to a two-prong plug) may be necessary.

Andorra’s country code is +376

Wi-Fi access will be available throughout the Sessions at the Congress Center.
