Presidential election in Moldova - 20 October 2024

Presidential elections are planned to take place in Moldova on 20 October 2024. Upon invitation to observe these elections, and after appropriate communication to Bureau Members, the President has decided to deploy an Election Observation Mission to these important elections to work closely with expected teams from the OSCE/ODIHR, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament.

If needed, a second round of the Presidential election will be held on 3 November 2024.

The Special Co-ordinator and leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission is Lucie Potůčková (Czechia), Chair of the OSCE PA’s General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions. The Head of the OSCE PA delegation of observers is OSCE PA Treasurer Johan Büser (Sweden).

Parliamentary elections in Georgia - 26 October 2024

Parliamentary elections are planned to take place in Georgia on Saturday, 26 October. Upon invitation to observe these elections, the OSCE PA President has decided to deploy an Election Observation Mission to work closely with an expected Election Observation Mission of the OSCE/ODIHR, as well as delegations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the European Parliament (EP), and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA).

The Special Co-ordinator and leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission is Pascal Allizard (France), who serves as the Special Representative on Mediterranean Affairs, and the Chair of the Sub-Committee on Rules of Procedure and Working Practices. The Head of the OSCE PA delegation of observers is President of the OSCE PA Pia Kauma (Finland).

Parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan - 27 October 2024

Parliamentary Elections are planned to take place in Uzbekistan on 27 October 2024. Upon invitation to observe these elections, the OSCE PA President has decided to deploy an Election Observation Mission to these important elections to work closely with expected teams from the OSCE/ODIHR.

The Special Co-ordinator and leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission is Azay Guliyev (Azerbaijan), who serves as the Chair of the General Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment, and has previously served as Vice-President of the OSCE PA. The Head of the OSCE PA delegation of observers is Sargis Khandanyan (Armenia), who serves as the Vice-Chair of the General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions.

General elections in USA - 5 November 2024

General elections are planned to take place in the United States of America on Tuesday, 5 November 2024. Following an invitation to observe these elections, and after appropriate communication to Bureau Members, the President has decided to deploy an Election Observation Mission to these important elections to work closely with expected teams from the OSCE/ODIHR.

The Special Co-ordinator and leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission is President of the OSCE PA Pia Kauma (Finland). The Head of the OSCE PA delegation of observers is Pere Joan Pons (Spain), who serves as the Vice-President of the OSCE PA and Special Representative on Climate Change.
