Malik Ben Achour (Belgium) was elected as Rapporteur at the 2023 Annual Session in Vancouver.
Mr. Ben Achour holds a degree from the University of Liège and the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne, both in philosophy. He also completed a DEA in International Relations and European Integration.
He began his political career on the municipal level and also worked as a consultant specializing in geomarketing.
He was elected to the House of Representatives of Belgium in 2019 with the Socialist Party. He sits on the Foreign Affairs-Cooperation and Development, Climate-Energy, and Budget-Finance-Taxation committees. He also represents the Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), specifically focusing on working with the Network for the fight against HIV-AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
Mr. Ben Achour is the Head of the Belgian Delegation to the OSCE PA.
