John Mettler joined the OSCE PA’s office in Vienna in February 2025. He holds a Master’s degree in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

Prior to joining the OSCE PA, John interned at the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Technical Cooperation Department in the Division for Latin America and the Caribbean for one year supporting projects using nuclear technology to address Sustainable Development Goals in the region. He also volunteered with the United States Peace Corps in Armenia teaching English.

John is a native speaker of English and has working knowledge of Spanish, Russian and some Armenian.
