Manon Descamps, Research Assistant

Manon Descamps joined the International Secretariat in May 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and European Studies from the University of Law and Political Sciences in Nantes, and a master’s degree in International Relations at Sciences Po Strasbourg.

During her time at Sciences Po, Manon gained valuable experience through an internship at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Estonia to the United Nations in New York, which deepened her understanding of the inner workings of UN diplomacy and reinforced her commitment to advancing human rights. Motivated by this experience, she furthered her studies by enrolling in a Master 2 programme in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas.

After completing this specialized programme, Manon devoted two years to championing women's rights in the NGO sector, serving both as a regional project manager and legal co-ordinator.

She is fluent in French and English, possesses a good command of Spanish, has a basic understanding of Russian, and is currently expanding her language skills by learning Danish.
