AUSTRIA LOPATKA ReinholdPhoto 1Reinhold Lopatka (Austria) was elected Vice-President of the Assembly at the OSCE PA  Remote Session in July 2021.

Reinhold Lopatka has been a member of Parliament since 2003. He is Chairman of the European Affairs Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Parliamentarian Friendship Group Austria-Australia, and Head of the Austrian Delegations to PACE, COSAC, IPU and NATO PA.

He was Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Austrian People’s Party from 2013 to 2017.

He was previously a Member of the Task Force on Subsidiarity, Proportionality and "Doing Less More Efficiently” of the European Union State Secretary at the Federal Chancellery (2007-2008), State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance (2008-2012) and at the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (2012-2013), and Secretary General of the Austrian Peoples Party (2003-2007).

Reinhold Lopatka is Deputy Head of the Austrian Delegation to the OSCE PA, Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Countering Terrorism, and was Special Representative on Central Asia from December 2020 to June 2021.
