The OSCE PA's fourth Parliamentary Web Dialogue provided a forum to examine the environmental aspects of COVID-19 recovery with OSCE parliamentarians and experts. Members discussed the links between environmental degradation and public health, explore opportunities for targeted “green” policy interventions in response to the ongoing crisis, and debate ways to better protect our environment in order to enhance human security.

The webinar featured expert contributions from Dr. Francesca Dominici, Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Co-Director of the Data Science Initiative at Harvard University; Tao Zhang, Deputy Managing Director at the International Monetary Fund; and Susan Gardner, Director Ecosystems Division in UN Environment Programme, as well as a welcome remarks by German parliamentarian Doris Barnett, Chair of the OSCE PA’s Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment.
