A Parliamentary Web Dialogue to examine the impact of COVID-19 on refugee camps and migrant detention centres

The OSCE region is host to millions of refugees, migrants and asylum seekers who are at increased risk of COVID-19 as they typically live in overcrowded conditions without the means to follow basic public health guidelines. Those in camps and detention centres under lockdown and whose movements are restricted are particularly vulnerable.

An OSCE PA webinar on Tuesday 26 May explored this topic with a focus on best practices for specific measures that can be implemented with respect to vulnerable categories of migrants.
