OSCE PA’s South East Europe envoy begins visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina

VIENNA, 7 March 2022- OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Vice-President and Special Representative on South East Europe, Azay Guliyev, is undertaking an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on 8-10 March. Officially announced a month ago meetings have been requested, among others, with:

  • The Presidency, H.E. Željko Komšić, H.E. Milorad Dodik, H.E. Šefik Džaferović
  • The Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Bisera Turković
  • The Minister of Human Rights and Refugees, H.E. Miloš Lučić
  • The Office of the High Representative
  • The Joint Collegium of the Parliamentary Assembly of the House of Peoples and House of Representatives, H.E. Dragan Čović, H.E. Nikola Špirić, H.E. Bakir Izetbegović, H.E. Denis Zvizdić, H.E. Nebojša Radmanović, H.E. Borjana Krišto
  • Representatives of political parties representing the Inter-Agency Working Group on Election Law Reform
  • The Delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the OSCE PA

The visit aims to take stock of domestic and regional developments as well as reiterating OSCE’s commitment to continue to facilitate dialogue in all segments of society, in particular at the parliamentary level, in order to encourage reconciliation and rehabilitation in the Western Balkans, and to lend its contribution to the transformation and building up of democratic institutions.

Special Representative Guliyev’s visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of a tour to the region which will, inter alia, be followed by visits to North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Albania later this year.
