COPENHAGEN, 5 November 2025 – The President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), Pere Joan Pons Sampietro (Spain), will lead a delegation of 15 parliamentarians from 14 countries, including the Special Representative on South East Europe, Kyriakos Hadjiyianni (Cyprus), on a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 5–8 November. The delegation will be accompanied by the Secretary General of the OSCE PA, Roberto Montella.
The visit is part of the OSCE PA’s programme of mission visits, which provide Members with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the mandates and work of OSCE operations. During this visit, Members will witness firsthand the work of the OSCE Mission on the ground and hold meetings with the Collegium of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the High Representative (OHR) and civil society organizations to gain greater insight into local security and political dynamics.
The delegation’s visit will focus on key regional and security issues, parliamentary engagement, and areas of co-operation between the OSCE and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The visit will conclude with a trip to Srebrenica, where the delegation will pay tribute to the genocide victims at the Srebrenica Memorial Centre and Museum. The delegation will also meet with OSCE Field Office officials, the Mayor, and the Speaker of Srebrenica.
