OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Muttonen condemns London terror attack

COPENHAGEN, 4 June 2017 – OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Christine Muttonen (MP, Austria) issued a statement of condemnation and condolences following an attack in London Saturday night being investigated as an act of terrorism. At least seven people died and 48 were injured when a vehicle plowed into pedestrians on London Bridge, followed by three attackers stabbing restaurant- and pub-goers at nearby Borough Market.

“This is the third terror attack targeting the United Kingdom in recent months, and once again, I offer the British people my deepest condolences and condemn this senseless act of violence. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and with the injured, whom I wish a full recovery,” Muttonen said.

She added that the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly stands ready to work co-operatively with partners to effectively address the terrorist threat, which she said is one of the top security concerns for the OSCE area.
